16
Jun
2009
Today Mhaha2 sent a Weapon in Progress that models a Scar. He is a new modeler, and from what we've seen it's pretty good. The images explain it all. Check it out:

Here are Mhaha2's images of the work in progress.
Information
Mhaha2 here is telling us what the status of his mod currently is:
"I'm nearly finished with the low poly version, i just need to check all the smoothing groups, do some final tweaking (removing some triangles) and see if I can remove some poly's where I don't need them and add some detail in other places.
"I changed the end of the buttstock a bit and straightened the grip a bit. Both sides are now as good as finished I'm just not quite sure how the barrel looks like exactaly so if you spot anything wrong with that or anything else please say so.
"Tomorrow I can hopefully start on the high poly.
(PS: The polycount is just over 5000 but since i still need to remove some triangles and add some detail this will probably come out higher.)
I just realised the thing around the trigger is very narrow so I'll be changing that as well."
We'll continue to record news on this WIP.
