Really, Crysis: Warhead is more of the same with minor tweaks here and there. If you liked the game play of Crysis and have a machine that can run it well, by all means, check out Warhead. It's $30 to start, and will only get cheaper, and can be purchased at retail or digitally through a service like Steam. Whether or not you want to contend with any potential problems down the road due to the DRM is entirely your call, though I'm not worried about it in this case. I basically got what I wanted from Warhead's single player campaign and enjoyed the new tweaks and content, though I felt it could still have been better in several ways.

The single player campaign for Crysis Warhead contains only about 5-10 hours of game play which is a bit short, but the multiplayer portion, improved performance and better graphics, make it well worth the lower than average price of a new game at $29.99. So if you need something to tide you over until Crysis 2 or if you missed out on Crysis altogether Warhead gives you a chance to jump in the game and experience a game with some of the best graphics and game play out there.

It\'s not going revitalize the PC gaming market and force tens of thousands of people to buy $500 video cards, but it\'s a unique first-person experience that can only be done on the platform. Crysis manages to transcend the hype to go beyond the pixels and stand solid on its own.

Overall, Crysis is definitely another win for Crytek and another one of those games that\'s more than the sum of its parts. They\'ve created some amazing technology that\'s scalable enough that many gamers will be able to play it on some setting, even if it isn\'t the best, and have a good amount of fun.

Until the grand day that Crysis 2 is announced though multiplayer and the games modding capabilities are more than enough to give the community their nano-suit fix, for the time being. Crysis shows not only are Crytek one heck of a games studio to set new crazy standards for more than just action shooters, but also that the PC is far from feeling left out in this \'next-gen\' war of the platforms.

Dense jungles, grand lakes and endless beaches weren\'t enough for the developers, yet the big noisy climax Crysis builds to is a poor fit with most of the game. Sometimes you need to know how much is too much.

Crysis is undeniably one of the most exciting and memorable experiences on the PC. It is, however, in a similar situation as Doom 3 when it first released, where few people could sufficiently run the game at its highest settings.

Overall, I\'d recommend Crysis if your machine good enough to have most of the features turned on. Otherwise, wait until your machine can catch up to the specs this game needs.
