Crytek Budapest's first game Crysis Warhead has got some well deserved recognition. At the German Developer Awards 2008 Crytek and Warhead got much praise yielding four awards for Crytek, and Gamasutra put Warhead amongst the top 5 PC games of 2008. Warhead also got IGN's Best Graphics Technology award. Congratulations to Crytek!

Firstly, we'd like to thank everyone for their support this year. We've seen the Crysis community expand, along with Crymod growing to bigger than ever before, especially with things like the ICMC, which has produced some of the finest maps seen to date.

Please be sure to read through this entire post before asking questions, as we've tried to make sure that everything is covered and kept simple in this piece of news. If you do have genuine questions though, obviously you can feel free to ask on the forums.

Holiday Trial Period!
That’s right, once again it’s time for us to give you guys and your friends some time to play Crysis Wars for free, not only that, but you'll be playing the very latest version of the game which will include the brand new maps SAVANNA and FROST. This time instead of just one weekend we're giving you 10 entire days to try the game out for free! You can download the files right now exclusively from Fileplanet.com. Other mirrors will appear shortly.
Less than a month after the release of Patch 1.2 we are now releasing Patch 1.3. Included in this patch is the Holiday Map Pack, a special present from us to close the year and to make sure you guys have some great fun over the Holiday period and right across the start of next year. Thanks for all of your support over this past year, and we really hope you enjoy these maps. Be sure to check out the introduction videos to them from the Level Designers that made them on the forum.

We are once again happy to announce that the next Patch for Crysis Wars will be available to download less than 1 month after the previous patch on December 17th at 7pm (19:00 CET). The patch will include a fix to the auto-downloader along with our Holiday Map Pack! This pack includes 2 great maps, a smaller PowerStruggle map; Frost. Along with a massive TIA battleground map; Savanna. Please take the time to update your game to the latest version when the patch is released to make sure you get the chance to play these epic maps!
